The CSP-S is a compact ‘all-in-one’ power source for marine sparker applications, specifically the Applied Acoustics’ Delta Sparker.
The unit can be supplied as a 1250J, 4000J, 6000J or 12,000J variant that allows for subsequent upgrade.
The high charge rate allows for fast, high energy sound pulses from sparker and in addition, lower power settings are available for single boomer and S-boom applications.
The CSP-P replaces the CSP-300 Portable. Upgraded, the CSP-P now incorporates the Dual-voltage technology of the CSP-D for greater boomer penetration and several new internal features for better performance and fault tolerance.
Believed to be the smallest, lightest 350 Joule power source in the world, the CSP-P is intended primarily as a boomer power supply but can also be used with small sparkers.
The CSP-N1200 seismic energy source is the driving force behind Applied Acoustics’ Dura-Spark range of sound sources that have extremely hard wearing electrode sparker tips.
This durability is a consequence of the CSP’s reverse polarity high voltage charger and unique proprietary thyristor switching.
Featuring all of the standard safety systems and operational functions found across the entire range of CSP energy sources, the CSP-N1200 is also suitable for use with the Applied Acoustics’ S-Boom and single plate boomer systems.
The CSP-L is a seismic energy source for high resolution boomer sub-bottom profiling, primarily intended for use as part of the Inshore Boomer System.
Available as a 50 Joule or 100 Joule unit, the CSP-L uses minimal generator current, and is ideal for use on small vessels undertaking coastal survey work.
The CSP-D is a seismic energy source for boomer and sparker applications which has been developed from the proven CSP1500 and CSP2200 versions.Uprated to 2400 Joules and with a higher rated thyristor ‘switch’the CSP-D sets the new industry standard.
The unit, with the same chassis and 1500J/second HV engine, is available in three variants; the CSP-D700, CSP-D1200 and the CSP-D2400. Additional settings allow for longer boomer pulse widths with the potential of more boomer seabed penetration.
The two boomer plates, the AA201 and AA301, produce a sharp, repeatable “industry standard” single pulse. Both models are field proven and differ in detail specification.
The Model AA201 is the ‘small format’ transducer which can be towed on either the CAT100 or CAT200 surface tow vehicles. It is ideal for inshore surveys for high resolution sediment analysis with the CSP-L energy source or as a higher penetration device with the CSP-P and CSP-D models.
The 982 Smart Charger is used to re-charge all Applied Acoustics beacons fitted with re-chargeable batteries except the 300 Series Micro Beacons and all the 1000 Series Beacons.
The 982 is designed for operation in the dry environment of a vessel’s Operations Room.
Easy to operate with a large back-lit display and 4-key menu.
