In our constant efforts to bring ever improving products to the market, we are pleased to announce the introduction of the advanced Super SeaKing Dual Frequency Sonar.

We have used the very latest in composite transducer technology to produce a sonar which delivers the clearest images available, at operating ranges previously unobtainable.

In addition, we have introduced a modular transducer design and longer-life slip ring assembly to minimise the consequences of operational damage and to improve on the SeaKing’s already excellent reliability.

Composite transducer technology for increased range and image resolution

The Super SeaKing dual frequency profiler uses the latest technological advances available in transducer design.

A composite transducer technology has been used to ensure that this sonar offers substantially increased range and image resolution.

Advanced CHIRP signal processing for clear and high resolution imagery

The Super SeaKing DST is a digital CHIRP dual frequency sonar capable of operating at 325kHz or 675kHz.

When operating at 325kHz, the sonar has a true operational range of 300m. Switching to 675kHz, the same sensor is capable of providing a high definition image at shorter range.

To ensure the Seanet SCU provides a reliable, rugged and easy to install unit it has been designed as a robust 19″ 3U rack mount unit with ruggedly mounted sub assemblies for maximum reliability.

A high speed 156kbit·s-1 communication system is used within the Seanet SCU, allowing a full suite of Tritech sensors to be operated over a single twisted pair or, by using the Tritech MultiComm Junction Box, over an RS232 or fibre optic interface.

The latest addition to the SeaKing family of imaging scanning sonars, the Hammerhead can easily be networked with other SeaKing equipment.

Combining a resolution twice that of other mechanical sonars, and an ultra-narrow horizontal beam angle, the dual frequency

SeaKing Hammerhead is a truly versatile survey sonar. To complete the package a fully integrated attitude sensor and compass are included to enable accurate logging of survey data.

The SeaKing Bathymetric system comprises up to four high resolution sensors – a depth sensor, conductivity probe, temperature probe and the PA500 altimeter.

Two standard configurations are available, either as a pressure only package (SeaKing 701) or as a pressure, conductivity and temperature package (SeaKing 704).

The sensors form an integrated package, however, the PA500 altimeter is on a cable and can be mounted separately on the ROV which allows positioning of the individual sensors away from areas of masking or disturbance such as vehicle structure or thruster wash.

The SeaHub interfaces are software configurable to drive long lines with ARCNET or RS485 as required by the individual sensors and RS232, RS422 or TTL via multiplexer channels.

The unit may be mains or DC powered; if mains powered then a DC output is available to power connected equipment. If DC powered the output DC is a fused extension of the input supply.

Front panel diagnostic LEDs show interface ports in use and their status. The SeaHub is fully compatible with Tritech Seanet Pro software suite and is automatically recognised in Windows if Seanet Pro is installed.
