Cathodic protection inspection

STR offers comprehensive pipeline and platform CP Inspection survey packages for ROV and Diver use and can be supported by trained inspection personnel. For ROV operations in-house CP Probe Electronics Interface Bottle provides power and a digital interface between the CP Probe sensor and the ROV communication network for reliable ROV based CP inspection.

Readings are converted to an RS232 data string and transferred by the ROV mux system to the STR CP Probe Logger software. The CP Probe is a dual reference cathodic protection probe and can be used as a “stabbing” tip-contact probe or as a proximity electrode by using a surface ground wire. For Diver operations STR offers the user-friendly CP Gun.
