EdgeTech’s 2400 Series is a fully integrated combined side scan sonar & sub-bottom profiling system designed for deep water operation in depths up to 6,000m.

The 2400 can be completely configured by the user to best suit the applications at hand. The system comes with a dual simultaneous frequency side scan sonar with a choice of 75 kHz, 120 kHz or 410 kHz frequencies; any of which can be paired together.

The 2400 also comes with the choice of a wideband sub-bottom profiler. Frequency options for the sub-bottom profiler are 1-10 kHz, 2-16 kHz or 4-24 kHz.

The new EdgeTech 2205 is an extremely flexible and configurable sonar system for unmanned vehicles.

It is specially designed for installation and use on Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), and other hosted platforms.

The 2000 Series combines EdgeTech’s highly successful line of side scan sonars and sub-bottom profilers into one fully integrated system.

The combined side scan sonar and sub-bottom profiling system comes in a choice of three different towfish: 2000-CSS, 2000-DSS and 2000-TVD.

The CSS comes with a low frequency 500 Hz – 12 kHz sub-bottom profiler and is designed for applications that require sub-bottom penetration in water depths of up to 300m.

The DT Marine model DT3050-EHLW is a self-contained electro-hydraulic variable speed winch designed for marine applications.

Fitted with a precise cable handling system and high grade multiway slipring, the DT3050 has a 6000m capacity of 11.4mm armoured Rochester coaxial cable.

Measures metal thickness to determine wastage or corrosion accurately, quickly and without removing protective coatings

Available in two models: M5-ROV-2K 2,000 m (6,526 ft) depth rated and M5-ROV-4K 4,000 m (13,123 ft) depth rated.

The Cygnus Top Side Repeater (TSR) is available as an option and has the facility to display the thickness measurements remotely and overlay them on to a video signal. This allows the measurements to be superimposed on the ROV camera’s monitor screen.

The Cygnus W1 Probe Handler is designed for use on Work Class ROVs. It can be held by a manipulator arm and supplied with either T bar or Fish Tail handles.

It is constructed from 316 stainless steel throughout.

Ultrasonic probe alignment is provided by a double jointed coupling that provides 15 degrees of movement in both planes guided by four pins.

A shock absorbing spring reduces any impact loading on the unit. The design allows the manipulator arm to present the ultrasonic probe to the surface to be measured, any misalignment will be taken up by the coupling resulting in less movement of the manipulator arm position.

The Cygnus G1 Probe Handler is designed for use on Observation, Inspection and Light-work class ROVs.

Constructed from acetal it is both strong and lightweight, it features an adjustable mounting bracket allowing optimum positioning of the UT probe.

The UT probe is located in an articulated mount that allows up to 15 degrees of movement in both planes allowing automatic alignment of the probe face to the measurement surface making the ROV pilot’s job easier.
