Fog-based high-performance inertial navigation system for subsea vehicles

ROVINS is a combined survey-grade full featured inertial navigation system for water depths up to 3 000 m.

Designed specifically for offshore survey and construction works, ROVINS, thanks to its advanced Kalman filter, improves the efficiency of all operations where accurate position, heading and attitude are key benefits. ROVINS is offered in stand alone, «DVL ready», and ROVINS 154 (for OEM integration) versions.

Next-generation long baseline medium frequency and low frequency positioning systems

Ramses is an acoustic synthetic baseline positioning system (ASBL) designed for simple sparse-LBL subsea navigation.

Tightly coupled with exail inertial navigation system (INS), it delivers extreme precision and robustness using greatly reduced amount of transponders compared to LBL.

Available in MF and LF versions (low frequency for ultra-long range applications), Ramses is key part of exail inertial-acoustic solutions for subsea positioning.

FOG-based high-performance inertial navigation system

Phins is an inertial navigation system providing position, true heading, attitude, speed, depth and heave.

Its high-accuracy inertial measurement unit is based on exail’s fiber-optic gyroscope technology coupled with an embedded digital signal processor that runs an advanced Kalman filter.

FIFTH GENERATION SURVEY-GRADE SURFACE GYROCOMPASS AND MOTION SENSOR

The fifth generation Octans is an all-in-one gyrocompass and motion sensor for diverse challenging applications. The new Octans raises the industry standard in measurement accuracy for roll, pitch, heave, and heading while making available inertial navigation system (INS) product upgrade path and IMO-HSC certifi cation. Octans is built on exail’s trusted and unique ultimate-performance fiber-optic gyroscope (FOG) technology (thousands of units manufactured).

Applications
Survey (MBES/Lidar) – DP (Dynamic Positioning) – Motion monitoring Platform stabilization – Safe robust navigation, including environments without GPS (e.g. tunneling, defense)

OCTANS NANO is the smallest and most adept state-of-the-art 4,000 m depth rated attitude and heading reference system (AHRS]. lt is built on exail’s renowned fiber-optic gyroscope [FOG] technology and offshore instrumentation expertise.

OCTANS NANO offers an outstanding price/performance solution, with rugged titanium housing, meeting the most challenging requirements of subsea applications.

High-performance subsea gyrocompass and motion sensor

OCTANS 3000 is a subsea survey-grade gyrocompass and complete motion sensor for water depths up to 3,000m. Based on exail’s FOG technology it outputs heading, roll, pitch, heave, rate of turn and acceleration. OCTANS 3000 can be easily upgraded to full INS mode (i.e. ROVINS).

FOG-based high-grade inertial navigation system for hydrographic and multibeam surveys

Hydrins is a high-performance inertial navigation system optimized for hydrographic surveys using multibeam echosounders.

Hydrins comprises a single compact unit and delivers highly accurate real-time position, heading, attitude and speed data.

In addition to the real-time options, Hydrins raw data can be post-processed using Delph INS.
