Digital Video

In partnership with digital video software experts OPTIONS, STR can provide multi-channel Digital Video recording systems for SD and HD video.

The STR SeaSpectrum range of underwater cameras deliver high performance image definition through a variety of formats including HD-SDI, HD-IP and Composite Video. The STR range of subsea laser pointers and line generators are designed to meet all underwater measurement and identification tasks.

Downhole Camera Systems

STR provides a range of subsea colour camera video systems for field operations, such as downhole inspection, wellhead monitoring, structure installation and decommissioning applications. STR can provide standard configured systems or tailor systems to meet customer needs.

DP Reference Systems

Specialist Marine Technologies Ltd have selected STR as exclusive sales and rental agents for their specialist Taut Wire DP sensors globally.

The TW-1.0 Light Weight Taut Wire is a field proven DP position reference system, which is designed for use as a deck-mounted sensor on surface vessels. In addition, STR can provide industry leading high precision radar and laser sensors from Guidance Marine for marine Dynamic Positioning applications.

Dredging

STR offers an elite range of dredgers and water jetting systems. We hold a range of Subsea Tooling Services cutting edge fluid dynamic dredgers to support all ROV and Diver operations. These new generation dredge systems can be configured subsea to either dredge or jet without the need for ROV or Diver frame recovery.

Environmental Monitoring

STR has developed a field proven range of underwater camera systems for near shore and deepwater environmental monitoring. The SeaSpyder Underwater Drop Camera System is part of a family of field proven camera systems designed and manufactured by STR to support marine survey and environmental survey companies.

Geophysical & Hydrographic Survey

STR is proud to hold one of the largest fleets of geophysical survey equipment in the industry. STR‘s in-house manufactured products and world leading products from manufacturers including Applied Acoustics, CodaOctopus, EdgeTech and Geometrics are available for rental and are all backed up with our in-house expertise. STR can supply solutions for sidescan sonar and sub-bottom profiling systems for towed and hosted platforms, marine magnetometers and a range of marine survey winches for shallow and deep water surveys. A comprehensive range of multibeam echosounder systems for seabed mapping from R2Sonic, Kongsberg, Teledyne Reson and Norbit cater for nearshore and full ocean depth operations.

Unexploded Ordnance

(UXO) risk management is proving to be an ever-increasing requirement for pre-installation surveys of offshore wind farms and pipe laying operations. STR has successfully developed turnkey solutions for marine UXO detection which offers considerably improved survey cost effectiveness.

Metocean

STR holds a comprehensive range of environmental monitoring instruments from leading manufacturers Valeport, Teledyne RDI, Sonardyne and Niskin. We hold a range of products to cater for nearshore and deepwater environmental monitoring, which includes current meters, tide gauges, sound velocity probes, multi-parameter profilers, water samplers, instrumentation frames solutions and acoustic releases for deployment solutions.

NDT

We offer a selection of NDT equipment for ROV and diver inspection tasks. Flooded Member Detection (FMD), Cathodic Protection (CP) and thickness gauge instruments are available for inspection of offshore platforms, pipelines and assets.

Cutting edge technology from manufacturers ASAMS, Buckleys, Cygnus, Deepwater, RSL and Tritex can all be found at STR and operated by our skilled offshore support team.

In partnership with Neptune Oceanographic, STR offer a full range of ROV and diver operated leak detection technology and services, including:

STR holds a wide variety of CDI pipeline pig tracking and signalling equipment for onshore, offshore and subsea applications.

Positioning

STR holds an extensive range of equipment for nearshore and deepwater underwater tracking and high accuracy positioning applications. USBL systems from Applied Acoustic, Sonardyne and iXBlue are available at STR, alongside an extensive inventory of peripheral equipment such as Motion Sensors, Gyros, Inertial Navigation Systems and DVL’s from Kongsberg, Teledyne and Sonardyne. STR holds a large inventory of Sonardyne 6G LBL acoustic positioning technology which is tested and calibrated to manufacture specifications in-house.

Through our partners Forssea Robotics, STR can offer its customers the newly launched V-LOC which is an augmented reality method to achieve real-time subsea positioning using marker tracking technology.

ROV & Survey Sensors

STR holds a fleet of inspection class remotely operated vehicles that are available for rental. The fleet consists of the following systems:

STR provides a full spectrum of ROV sensors and peripherals from many of the leading manufacturers including Sound Metrics, Tritech, Teledyne BlueView and Kongsberg for subsea inspection, profiling and monitoring tasks. We offer the Innova Matrix standalone fibre optic multiplexer to interface a large array of survey sensors on a hosted vehicle and our team of skilled offshore survey engineers can provide full configuration, integration and offshore support services.

ROV Tooling

STR is equipped to supply and support a wide range of specialist ROV intervention tooling for rental. Our diverse inventory held in-house is available for immediate hire and includes soft line and wire rope cutters, grinders, diamond wire saw, pan & tilt camera boom arms, torque tools, hot stabs, tooling skids, gas samplers and dirty work packs.
